Nothing is more important than family. Therefore, at Bucceroni Law we strive to keep families together. We understand the importance of reuniting families as well as keeping them together. Our experience in all areas of immigration law can assist you through the immigration process.
Family-based Immigration Overview
To promote family unity, the immigration laws provide avenues to permanent residence based on certain family relationships. Generally, the two types of family-based immigrants are immediate relative immigrants, and preference immigrants. There is no numerical limit on the number of immigrant visas (permanent residence) available to immediate relatives. This means that immediate relatives do not have to wait in line to obtain a permanent residence card. Preference immigrants, on the other hand, are subject to annual numerical limits, which can result in long delays, often many years.
